Amanda Georges

Principal Clinical Psychologist
Amanda Georges

Amanda is a registered Clinical Psychologist under the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has graduate and post-graduate degrees in Psychology and Clinical Psychology. She has a wealth of experience across both private and NSW Health public settings, working with acute, moderate to severe, and complex mental health presentations.

Amanda has a genuine passion for supporting adolescents and adults through the difficulties they are facing and to create positive change. Amanda adopts a person-centred approach, creating a warm, safe, non-judgemental space for clients to gain a deeper understanding into the problems they are experiencing.

Amanda has a particular interest in helping her clients understand the origins of the difficulties they face in the context of their own unique life story. She is also interested in the way the brain develops in response to an accumulation of stress or trauma over time.

Amanda considers her role an enormous privilege and has learnt a lot from the thousands of hours of listening to people’s stories (both obstacles and triumphs) over the years.
